Questions
Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about how we work, what we do and what we don't.
Do you supply equipment?
No. We provide design, installation, commissioning and maintenance services. Equipment is purchased by you, your main contractor, or through the manufacturer's local channel, against our specification. This keeps our advice independent and lets you buy at the best price available to you.
Which brands do you work with?
Our engineers have hands-on design, programming, integration and maintenance experience across 30+ leading global ELV manufacturers, including Hikvision, Axis, Dahua, Hanwha Vision, Milestone and Avigilon for CCTV; HID, Suprema, Salto, 2N, CAME and FAAC for access control and gates; Cisco, HPE Aruba, Ubiquiti, CommScope, Corning and Panduit for networking and structured cabling; Crestron, Extron, Dolby Atmos, Bose Professional, JBL, Shure, Sony, Samsung and LG for Pro AV, private cinema and boardrooms; Bosch, TOA, Yealink and Televic for PA, PBX and clinical call systems; and APC Schneider, Eaton, Vertiv, Huawei and Victron for UPS, CBS and solar power. See our Projects & Partner Brands page.
Can you take over a system someone else installed?
Yes. We start with a condition survey, build an asset register, recover administrative access with your written authorisation, and list existing defects. The maintenance contract then starts from that known baseline.
Do you work outside Riyadh?
Yes. We're based in Riyadh and deliver projects across Saudi Arabia (Jeddah, Khobar, Dammam, Makkah, Madinah, NEOM, Jubail, Qassim, Abha and beyond). For maintenance contracts outside Riyadh, response targets are set according to the site's location and written into the contract.
Do you work as a subcontractor to main contractors?
Yes. We deliver the low-current systems package as a specialist subcontractor, including submittals, coordination drawings, installation, witnessed testing and handover documents.
Do you install fire alarm systems?
No. Where our systems interface with a fire alarm system (door release, PA muting, barrier opening) we design the interface and coordinate the test with the fire-alarm contractor.
How is a quotation prepared?
After a survey or a review of drawings, we prepare a quotation that lists every device and activity, with inclusions and exclusions. If information is missing, the assumption we made is stated so you can correct it before award.
How long should we keep CCTV recordings?
Retention is set by your security policy, and sometimes by an insurer, landlord or the authority responsible for your facility. Tell us the required period and we will size storage for it with margin, then verify it at handover.
Our cards are old proximity cards. Is that a problem?
125 kHz proximity cards have no encryption and can be copied with inexpensive tools. We recommend migrating to a secure credential such as MIFARE DESFire EV2/EV3 with site-specific keys, usually in phases using dual-technology readers.
What happens during a maintenance visit?
The technician follows the schedule for that visit: cleaning, inspection, tests and adjustments for each listed device. You receive a visit report with results, photos and any defects found, with a recommended action for each.
How fast do you respond to faults?
Response and attendance targets are written into each contract by priority level. Every fault is logged with timestamps, and monthly reports show the times achieved against the targets.
Do you secure cameras and controllers against hacking?
Hardening is part of our commissioning: unique credentials, default accounts disabled, unused services closed, segregated networks, time synchronisation and a controlled firmware process. Remote access is only set up through a route your IT team approves.
Do you provide a warranty?
Our workmanship warranty is stated in each contract. Equipment warranties are the manufacturer's, and we handle warranty claims on equipment within a maintenance contract.
Can you do solar for a whole building?
Our solar PV practice delivers end-to-end engineering design, string installation and inverter/storage commissioning. We engineer on-grid, hybrid and off-grid PV systems for security and critical loads, remote perimeters, commercial roofs and luxury residences based on a detailed site load profile.
